Getting Involved

Foundation for Rabbit-Free Australia is a lean, personable organisation. We value our members highly, are thankful to have great assistance from volunteers and advisers, and are indebted to key supporters and donors. If you would like to support or get involved with the Foundation, there are several options to consider.

In this section:

Join Us

Please Join Us. Members are the life-blood of the Foundation, bringing ideas, questions and information, helping maintain our ‘Deductible Gift Recipient’ status, and giving us momentum through their numbers. Members receive an annual members’ pack, regular newsletters with information about the latest research and who is doing what about rabbits around Australia, and opportunities to join in discussions and pose questions to experts through our Members Lounge.

Volunteer

The Foundation relies on volunteers for its operation. We are thankful to members and friends who help out with everything from providing expert scientific and business advice, assistance in drafting, editing and laying out various publications, providing content and snippets of information for the Newsletter, and an array of administrative functions. If you have any interest in helping out, please Contact Us.

Make a Donation

Donations are crucial in enabling our annual investment in small research projects and supporting the researchers committed to the control of wild rabbits in Australia. All donations are tax deductible and are acknowledged with a receipt suitable for lodgement with tax returns. Donations may be by cheque, funds transfer or credit card. Please see Donations for more information.

Make a Bequest

Like many charities, the Foundation has difficulty in supporting projects that require a long-term commitment of funds. Our operating margins are lean and long-term commitments can easily be at risk due to minor variations in income. Bequests not only provide new income, but also enable more confidence in long-term planning permitting more substantial, and potentially more beneficial, projects to be initiated.

If you would like information on making a bequest see the Making a Bequest information sheet and please get in touch with our Executive Officer, or ask your solicitor to do so on your behalf.
