Getting Involved

You can help make Australia ‘rabbit-free’ by supporting Foundation for Rabbit-Free Australia. Rabbits have no place in Australian landscapes and you can help work toward that vision.

Foundation for Rabbit-Free Australia relies on its members, volunteers and advisers, and is indebted to our supporters and donors. If you would like to get involved with the Foundation, there are several options to consider.

How you can help ‘Make Australia Rabbit-Free’:

Join Us

Join Us, there are lots of membership options and one will be just right for you. Members are the life-blood of the Foundation, bringing ideas, questions and information, helping maintain our ‘Deductible Gift Recipient’ status, and giving us momentum through their numbers. Members receive an annual members’ pack and regular newsletters with information about the latest research and who is doing what about rabbits around Australia. Members also have opportunities to join in discussions and pose questions to experts in rabbit research and control.

Donate

Donations are crucial in enabling our annual investment in research projects and supporting researchers committed to the control of wild rabbits in Australia. All donations are tax deductible and are acknowledged with a receipt suitable for lodgement with tax returns. Donations may be by credit card, cheque, or electronic funds transfer. See Donations for more information.

Volunteer

The Foundation relies on volunteers for its operation. We are thankful to members and friends who help out with everything from providing expert scientific and business advice, assistance in drafting, editing and laying out various publications, providing content for the Newsletter and social media, and an array of administrative functions. If you have any interest in helping out, please Contact Us.

Follow Us

Communication is one of our main goals and social media is part of how we communicate. ‘Follow Us’ to keep abreast of news and events, and add your comments to share ideas and information. Follow us on:

Make a Bequest

A Gift-in-Will or Bequest is a very significant way to support the Foundation. It enables us to better plan and implement long-term initiatives permitting more substantial, and potentially more beneficial, projects to create a Rabbit-Free Australia.

If you would like information on making a bequest see the Making a Bequest information sheet and get in touch with our Executive Officer, or ask your solicitor to do so on your behalf.
